Our farm

Our farm at a glance:
120 hectares of organic land.
Several large fields where the goats and cows graze in the summer. This allows for rotation to enrich the soil.
One big barn for our 300 milking goats and 2 smaller barns for our young goats and cows.
We produce all the food for our animals on our land: hay, ensilage, grass and cereals.
We follow the principles of biodynamic and nature-inclusive farming, meaning we see the entire farm as a living organism and we follow nature’s cycles.
We follow the principles of regenerative agriculture: our agriculture enriches the soil rather than depleting it.
0 waste policy: Any hay that our goats do not eat goes to the cows. Any leftover grains, vegetables and dairy go to our pigs and chicken.
Our animals’ manure is used to fertilize our soil and vegetables, starting the natural life cycle again.

Goat behaviour
Goats are very playful, clever, curious and friendly animals!
They have very strong personalities and are very fun to work with!
They get to express their natural herd behaviour on our farm.
They are out on pasture in the summer and stay inside our big barn in the winter.
They get plenty of entertainment with rocks to climb on and scratch pads.
They love attention so please come and say hi to our goats when you visit us! -
What do they eat?
Goats are natural herbivores and very inquisitive eaters.
All the food is organic and produced on our farm. We do not use industrial feed.
They eat a mixture of hay, haylage and ensilage.
As well as grass in the summer of course!
They eat small amounts of freshly-milled grains (wheat, rye and oats) from our fields during milking for extra nutrition.
Their favourite treats are trees and apples.

Our chicken
We have hundreds of hens roaming freely on our farm.
They get to exhibit their natural behaviour of foraging and nesting.
They eat grass, hay, insects, worms, cereals and even milk, cheese and yoghurt!
This results in incredibly delicious and nutritious eggs.
We use a chicken house rotation system to further fertilise our soil. -
Our cows
We have 10 cows and bulls who are out on pasture eating fresh grass in the summer; and in our barn eating hay and ensilage in the winter.
We produce small amount of high-quality grass-fed beef meat available in our gårdsbutik.
